Series IV

51)    To have faith in the infinity of the Infinite is the finite’s surrender to Infinity.

52)    Infinity acting in the finite field acts through a cosmic personality of its own. Mother is the creative force of that personality.

53)    Surrender is not a mere method. It converts the triple time into the ever-present timelessness, the finite into the Infinite through the process of Knowledge emerging out of Ignorance.

54)    Surrender is the movement that brings in the moment of God awakening in Man.

55)    Man cannot do this yoga, it is for God to do it, man’s part is only surrender. This is what we know. Perhaps man cannot even surrender, but only submit himself to the conditions of surrender.

56)    Till the central being is free by man becoming a realised soul, HE says, the surrender is not fully acceptable. What is acceptable is only what is offered face to face by man’s soul to God.

57)    Mentality, vitality, and physicality, not insisting on their own course and submitting themselves to permit the movement of surrender is what we know of surrender.

58)    The difference between reading a serious book, comprehending each individual argument only, not the full import of the book and teaching it in a class so as to pass on its central significance to the students is the same as recognising a word when it is used and using it with mastery as part of one’s own diction.

59)    Rarely do we realise that our expectation of what is given to one, everyone is entitled to -- a spirit of democracy -- will become an unbearable punishment at another level of existence.

60)    It is often forgotten that the spirit of democracy itself offers equal opportunities, not equal benefits.

61)    The sunlit path is a path of progress in harmony.

62)    Progress issues out of disharmony in the lower plane, but moves to a plane of harmony at higher levels.

63)    An attitude of harmony moves the lower plane to a higher plane.

64)    Moving from disharmony to harmony raises our plane of existence.

65)    An attitude of harmony makes for progress, that of surrender for accomplishment.

66)    One must have the Supramental consciousness in his conceptual mind to know of Self or Satchidananda by metaphysical inquiry.

67)    Formula for instant response is the work rule of an organisation or mechanics of a machine applied to a chain of acts in life.

68)    Transformation through reversal of consciousness and surrender reveals the smallest act, the dirtiest of acts, the most heinous crime as aspects of MARVEL.

69)    Such acts are not initiated by man or his ego. \ºÁõµ®£›zv¯õQ allowing events to occur in his surface personality vacated by his ego witnesses God acting in him thus.

70)    Life becomes a marvel when the initiation and impulsion are His.

71)    Man’s selfishness finds its marked expression in his wanting the whole world to give him what he is not willing or capable of giving to the world.

72)    All the pains man suffers from now are generated by the intensity of his selfish longing.

73)    His pains will go not when he wants to give in return for a result or any result.

74)    They will go when he wants to give not expecting any result, not even recognition.

75)    Selfish human love that demands, changing into Divine Love that cannot resist giving  is the remedy for all human suffering.

76)    Change in consciousness brings relief in thought, not result in substance.

77)    To change in substance is to change the finite into infinity.

78)    Dissolution of ego, moving from the surface to the depth, from Time to Timelessness, from Form to Formlessness, from consciousness to substance, from mind to emotion, from the individual to the universal, from involution to evolution, from mind to Supermind are SIMULTANEOUS movements in the plane of the highest depths of one’s being.

79)    Making water plenty is to make Grace act.  Â_®¤ß xÎ.                            Knowledge of water utilisation made Israel achieve it. This is skill reaching its perfection moving Grace, turning the finite into infinite.

80)    The exalted concept of chastity becomes narrow and a fetter when you move away from mind.

81)    The miser and the philanthropist are expressing the same vibration from opposite poles of life.

82)    He who expresses or is the instrument of Krishna’s Divine Love in a low human context is the despicable, shameless, selfish ruffian.

83)    A wrong action in a right situation leads to untoward results but ultimately sets itself right, because the situation is right.

84)    What is ethically wrong is set against a divine context which can never be wrong.

85)    Moving from ethical values to divine context or nature, human miseries vanish.

86)    The ‘real’ culprit in these situations is the desire to please the other man who is wrong, to win the approval of a wrong ethical environment which amounts to our belonging to that atmosphere.

87)    There is nothing wrong, no one needs to be punished. If it still holds good in your mind, seek the wrong and the punishment inside.

88)    Romance is the feeble effort of intense vital seeking for oneness of emotion, having achieved oneness of bodies.

89)    The universal failure is due to a lower energy trying to achieve in a higher plane.

90)    Emotions cannot come together in marriage since marriage has neither an emotional base nor an emotional goal. Its base is physical, its goal is social.

91)    If emotions successfully seek fusion, necessarily they should be outside marriage.

92)    Emotionally united couples are analogous to friendship of business partners.

93)    ‘Romance leading to marriage’ is the superstition of the spineless.

94)    The world knows that romance leads to wedding and ends there.

95)    The emotion of romance is intense. By definition, intensity is short-lived.

96)    Obviously a short-lived emotion cannot span a whole life.

97)    It is an ideal of the mind which can raise the vitality of romance to its emotional intensity.

98)    In such a case it ceases to be romance and the union also ceases to be marriage. It sails out of social and legal contexts into its own psychological domain.

99)    Idealist emotions responding to their counterpart, if it ever exists, meet from the beginning in a plane higher than that of romance.

100) HE said such people must learn to live alone.
