IV 951) It is not a pleasing prospect to know that one progresses from the exploitation of depravity to the service of selfishness. 952) The vital coming forward to continuously release more and more energies is interest. 953) That happens when our vital sees in the vital of Nature a point of relationship so that this can expand. 954) The ever-living moment is when Mother is realised in our vital and it sees Mother outside. 955) For that to happen, Pranamaya Purusha must come forward first. 956) Realising that the subliminal moves the surface, one can have the vision of Mother in Life. 957) The starting point for that realisation is to go inward exploring for the indwelling Mother. 958) The inner assuming a greater reality over the outer makes that possible. 959) The inner becomes attractive when the vital loses its charm for the outer. 960) It is the beginning of waking concentration this yoga requires. 961) In other words, it is the beginning of a distant realisation that one is God himself. 962) Mind acquires that knowledge; concentration builds up when the vital shares it. 963) Man begins with the mental knowledge that he is God and moves to the vital knowledge of the same. 964) To be able to accept that knowledge from the Master or The Mother is initiation in this yoga. 965) Such an initiation occurs by atmosphere, reading, Darshan, hearsay, in the dream or by itself. 966) The soul can awaken by itself or be awakened. 967) Initiation that sees God inside is different from initiation for transformation. 968) Each yogic goal has its own initiation. 969) For the avatar, God initiates by revealing Himself; the Avatar initiates man in various ways. 970) The mature subconscious surfacing at the appropriate time is initiation. 971) Making the subconscious conscious is yoga of spiritual evolution. 972) The conscious has the capacity to dwell on the subconscious which is an ingoing movement. 973) The Indian metaphysicians are logicians; logic is an outgoing process. 974) The poet goes inward, the thinker is outgoing. 975) Silent will is an ingoing process. 976) Good and evil, high and low, light and darkness can be classified as outgoing and ingoing or vice versa. 977) Man needs to grow both inside and outside. Increasing productivity, increasing energy, increasing knowledge were the stages he passed through. 986) As he rises in the levels, so his effectivity over the collective increases too. 987) Sri Aurobindo came here to work for the infinity to express in the material plane so that one man can fully serve the whole humanity by his perfection. 988) Fission is the process of releasing infinite material energy with an intense polluting effect. 989) Fusion can release infinite material energy that is entirely pure. 990) The quality of energy will be determined by the quality of the scientific personnel that release it. 991) We rarely see the abundance created by agriculture, commerce, urbanisation, money, market, education, militancy, administration, transport, computer is an infinite as the energy released by fission. 992) The psychological institutions of cooperation, harmony, goodwill, other man’s point of view, self-giving are capped by Love. 993) Each of these institutions is made effective by an appropriate psychological instrument. 994) Skill in working with others, expansiveness, desire to expand, mental ability to widen oneself, vital intensity that embraces another are such instruments. 995) As the institutions and instrument rise, naturally what they express or base themselves on rises too. 996) Supermind allows the Divine Soul to function in its plane based on the constant presence of the Absolute to express the infinite possibilities of the Absolute in the planes of Time and Space, 997) In matter, mind subconsciously expresses its will in the plane of prakriti so that the slow deliberate joy will be enjoyed by Ignorance. HE calls it taste of Ignorance. 998) If matter, mind, life enjoy the taste of Ignorance, Supermind enjoys the taste of knowledge. 999) Sadhak is one who brings about the transition consciously. Devotee is one who awaits unconsciously to reap the rewards of transition unconsciously. 1000)
