Other person's point of view and spiritual progress

Taking the other person's point of view involves a detachment/rejection of the perspectives of the mind's limited perspective, the ego's self-centered view of life and the demands of vital desire. It involves stages of progress from subjection to the external lower nature toward discovery of the psychic, inner freedom liberation of the spirit and progress toward mastery of the higher over the lower nature.
