The Hour of God

Date:
June 27, 2022
Speaker(s):
Mr. Garry Jacobs
Notes:

Sri Aurobindo describes the Hour of God as a time when the unexpected can be achieved and reliance on worldly wisdom and prudence is an obstacle to receptivity and progress. The Hour is metaphor for a brief period in the evolutionary process of the universe and the earth. Its exact beginning and term are unknown, but events of the past two hundred years from the French Revolution to the Descent of the Supramental Force on earth and founding of Auroville are markers of this period. It cannot be identified by superficial events since it a period in which old conventions are washed away, sometimes violently, in order to give place for the new to emerge.
