Notes:
- The first sign of life in matter is sensation.
- Sensation is the perception of what is outside that creates an impulse.
- Sensation comes from outside and urge comes from inside.
- Urge is an impulse of energy expressed from within a person.
- Urge has a physical intensity to it.
- Energy is behind every experience.
- Progress is to separate ourselves from the movement of our nature or swabhava.
- Manners is the first step in civilization.
- Manners are the first control of the urges of our nature.
- Mastery of our urges at all levels is essential for accomplishment.
- Mother’s consciousness can dissolve and transform the urge.
- We make progress at the tether ends of our temperament.
- When we call the Mother, the higher consciousness suppresses the lower impulses and urges.
- The key is to use the higher consciousness to dissolve the lower urges or to release the energy from the lower and use it for accomplishment.
