Life is not an inexplicable dream. Page 231 | வாழ்வு புரியாத புதிரான கனவல்ல. | |
Nor is it an impossible evil. Para 1 | வாழ்வு உலகிலில்லாத தீமையுமில்லை. | |
It has become a dolorous fact. | சாரமற்ற விளக்கமாக அது மாறவுமில்லை. | |
Thus we are rationally assured. | இப்படிப் பகுத்தறிவு நமக்கு உறுதி கூறுகிறது. | |
It is a mighty pulsation. | வாழ்வு பெரும் பலன் பெற்ற விம்மும் கடலலை. | |
It is a pulsation of the divine All-Existence. | தெய்வீக அனைத்து வாழ்வின் அலையது. | |
We see something of its foundation. | நாம் அஸ்திவாரத்தைச் சற்றுக் காண்கிறோம். | |
We see also its principle. | அதன் தத்துவத்தையும் காண்கிறோம். | |
We look up to its high potentiality. | அதன் பெரும் திறமை புதைந்திருப்பதை எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம். | |
Also to its divine out-flowering. | அதன் இதய மலர்ச்சி இறைவனின் பரிணாமப் பரிமளமாகும் என நினைக்கிறோம். | |
There is one principle below all the others. | எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் கீழே ஒரு தத்துவம் உண்டு. | |
We have not yet sufficiently considered. | போதுமான அளவுக்கு அதை நாம் இன்னும் ஆராயவில்லை. | |
It is the principle of Matter. | அது ஜடம் என்ற தத்துவம். | |
Life stands upon it. | வாழ்வு அதில் காலையூன்றி நிற்கிறது. | |
It stands as upon a pedestal. | பீடத்தின் மீது நிற்பது போல் வாழ்வு நிற்கிறது. | |
Out of which it evolves. | வாழ்வு ஜடத்திலிருந்து பரிணாம வளர்ச்சி பெறுகிறது. | |
It evolves like the form of a many-branching tree. | பல கிளைகளாகத் தழைக்கும் மரமாக வளர்கிறது. | |
Out of its encasing seed. | வித்திலிருந்து மரம் எழுவதைப் போன்றது அது. | |
This is a physical principle. | இது ஜடமான தத்துவம். | |
The mind, life and body of man depend upon it. | மனம், உயிர், உடல் இதை நம்பியுள்ளது. | |
This is out-flowering of Life. | இது வாழ்வு பூரித்தெழுவது. | |
It is the result of Consciousness emerging into Mind. | ஜீவியம் மனமாக பரிணாம வளர்ச்சி பெறுவதன் பலனிது. | |
It expands and elevates itself. | வாழ்வு பரந்து உயர்கிறது. | |
It does so in search of its own truth. | தன்னுடைய சத்தியத்தைத் தேடி வாழ்வு மலர்கிறது. | |
It is in the largeness of the supramental existence. | சத்திய ஜீவியப் பெருவாழ்வினுள் பரிணாமம் செல்ல முயல்கிறது. | |
Yet it is conditioned by the case of body. | எனினும் உடல் எனும் கூடு அதன் வளர்ச்சியை நிர்ணயிக்கிறது. | |
And it is done by the foundation of Matter. | ஜடம் என்ற அடிப்படையில் அது நடக்கிறது. | |
The importance of the body is obvious. | உடல் முக்கியம் என்பது தெளிவு. | |
Or he has been given a body. | மனிதனுக்கு உடல் தரப்பட்டுள்ளது. | |
And a brain. | மூளையும் உடன் வருகிறது. | |
They are capable of receiving. | உடலும் மூளையும் வளர்ச்சியைப் பெறும். | |
They serve a progressive mental illumination. | படிப்படியான ஜோதி மலர அவை துணை செய்கின்றன. | |
Man has risen above the animal. | விலங்கை விட உயர்ந்து மனிதன் வளர்கிறான். | |
Equally it can be done by developing a body. | உடலை வளர்த்தும் இதே பலனைப் பெறலாம். | |
A physical instrument functions. | உடல் என்ற கருவி செயல்படுகிறது. | |
It receives and serves. | பெற்றுப் பெறுவதால் சேவை செய்கிறது. | |
It serves a still higher illumination. | உடல் உயர்ந்த கருவிக்குச் சேவை செய்கிறது. | |
So that man can rise above. | இதனால் மனிதன் உயரலாம். | |
And realise. | உயர்வதால் சித்தி பெறலாம். | |
Not merely in thought. | உயர்வு எண்ணத்தில் மட்டுமல்ல. | |
And in his internal being. | அக வாழ்வு மட்டும் உயரவில்லை. | |
But in life. | மனிதன் வாழ்வில் உயர்கிறான். | |
A perfectly divine manhood. | இறைவனுடைய மனிதத் தன்மையைச் சிறப்பாக அவன் பெறுகிறான். | |
Otherwise, two possibilities arise. | இரு சந்தர்ப்பங்கள் எழும். | |
Promise of Life is cancelled. | வாழ்வின் வாய்ப்பு ரத்தாகும். | |
Its meaning annulled. | வாழ்வின் அர்த்தம் அர்த்தமற்றதாகும். | |
An earthly being can only realise Sachchidananda. | பூமியில் பிறந்தவன் சச்சிதானந்தம் மட்டுமே பெறுவான். | |
By abolishing itself. | இதைப் பெற மனிதன் தன்னை அழித்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். | |
By shedding from it mind, life and body. | மனம், உயிர், உடலை இழந்து இதைப் பெற வேண்டும். | |
And returning to the pure Infinite. | தூய அனந்தத்தை அடையலாம். | |
Or else man is not a divine instrument. | இல்லையேல் மனிதன் தெய்வக் கருவியாக முடியாது. | |
There is a destined limit. | அப்பொழுது அளவு விதிக்கப்படும். | |
The limit is to the consciously progressive power. | தன்னையறிந்து முன்னேறுவதற்கு லிமிட் ஏற்படும். | |
It distinguishes him. | இது மனிதனைத் தனிமைப்படுத்திக் காட்டும். | |
From all other terrestrial existence. | இதர சிருஷ்டியினின்று மனிதன் பிரிந்து நிற்பான். | |
And he has replaced them in the front of things. | அனைவரையும் கடந்து முன்னே வருவான். | |
So another must eventually replace him. | எனவே வேறொன்று அவனைக் கடந்து செல்ல வேண்டும். | |
And assure his heritage. | அவன் பிதிராஜ்யத்தைப் பெற வேண்டும். | |
Body is the soul's great difficulty. Page 232 | உடல் ஆத்மாவுக்குச் சிரமம் தர வல்லது. | |
It is from the beginning. Para 2 | இது ஆரம்ப நாட்களிலிருந்து உள்ளது. | |
Body is the continuous stumbling block. | உடல் தொடர்ந்து இடறி விழும் தடையாயுள்ளது. | |
It is a rock of offence. | அது முயற்சியை விரக்தியாக்கும் மலை. | |
Therefore the eager seeker hurled his ban against the body. | எனவே ஆர்வமான தபஸ்வி உடலுக்குத் தடை விதித்துவிட்டான். | |
He has a disgust for the world. | தவசிக்கு உலகம் வெறுப்புத் தருவது. | |
This is a world-principle. | இவ்வெறுப்பு உலகம் ஏற்கும் தத்துவம். | |
Above all else he hates the body. | மற்றவை விட உடலைக் குறிப்பாக அவன் வெறுக்கிறான். | |
It is an especial object of loathing for him. | வெறுப்புக்குக் குறிப்பாகத் தகுதி பெற்றது உடல். | |
The body is an obscure burden. | உடல் இருண்ட பாரம். | |
He cannot bear it. | அவனால் தாங்க முடியாத பாரம் இது. | |
It has an obstinate material grossness. | அதன் ஜடமான முரட்டுத்தனம் பிடிவாதமானது. | |
It is an obsession. | அவனை அது பிசாசாகப் பிடித்து உலுக்குகிறது. | |
It drives him for deliverance. | விடுதலையை நாடி அவன் ஓடுகிறான். | |
The life of the ascetic is sought. | விரதமும் நோன்பும் நிறைந்த துறவறத்தை நாடுகிறான். | |
He wants to get rid of it. | உடலைத் தவிர்க்க முனைகிறான். | |
He denies its existence. | உடல் என ஒன்றில்லை என்கிறான். | |
He denies its reality of material existence. | ஜடமான வாழ்வு பெற்றது உடல் என்பதை மறுக்கிறான். | |
Religions put their curse on Matter. | மதங்கள் ஜடத்தைச் சபித்தன. | |
Most of them do so. | பெரும்பாலான மதங்கள் அப்படிப்பட்டவை. | |
They have made the refusal. | மறுப்புத் தெரிவித்தன. | |
Or resigned temporary endurance of the physical life. | தற்காலிகமாக உடலை ஏற்கின்றன, உடல் வாழ்வை ஏற்கின்றன. | |
It is the test of true spirituality. | ஆன்மீக வாழ்வுக்கு அதைச் சோதனையாக்கின. | |
The older creeds were more patient. | பழங்காலக் கொள்கைகள் பொறுமையானவை. | |
They were broodingly profound. | அவை தம் ஆழ்ந்த சிந்தனையால் ஆழத்தைத் தொட்டன. | |
Our souls are under the burden of iron age. | கலியுகத்தில் நம் ஆத்மா பாரத்தைத் தாங்குகிறது. | |
It is of feverish impatience. | இவை பொறுமையிழந்து கொந்தளிக்கின்றன. | |
They are tortured. | இது சித்ரவதை. | |
The older creeds were not touched by this. | பழம் கொள்கைகளை இது தீண்டவில்லை. | |
This is a formidable division. | இது பெரும் பிரிவு. | |
They did not make. | அவை இப்படிப் பிரிக்கவில்லை. | |
They acknowledged Earth and Heaven. | பூமியையும் சொர்க்கத்தையும் ஏற்றனர். | |
Earth was Mother, Heaven was Father. | பூமியை பூமாதேவி எனவும் சொர்க்கத்தைப் பிதா எனவும் கூறினர். | |
They accorded them equal love and reverence. | இரண்டையும் அன்புடன் மதித்தனர். | |
They are ancient mysteries. | அவை புராதனப் புதிர்கள். | |
They are obscure and unfathomable. | அவை இருளடர்ந்தவை, ஆழங்காண முடியாதவை. | |
It is so whether our view is materialistic or spiritual. | நாத்திகவாதியும், ஆன்மீகவாதியும் இந்த விஷயத்தில் ஒன்றாக நினைக்கின்றனர். | |
They cut the Gordian knot of the problem of existence. | வாழ்வின் பிரச்சினை என்ற சிக்கலை அவர்கள் உடைக்கின்றனர். | |
They do so with one decisive blow. | ஒரேயடியில் ஒழித்துக்கட்டுகின்றனர். | |
They accept an escape into an eternal bliss. | சாஸ்வதானந்தம் பெற இதைச் செய்கின்றனர். | |
Or an eternal annihilation or eternal quietude. | நிரந்தர அமைதி அல்லது நிரந்தர அழிவை ஏற்கின்றனர். | |
There is a quarrel. Page 232 | ஒரு போராட்டம் உள்ளது. | |
We see it when we awaken to our spiritual possibility. Para 3 | நம் ஆன்மீக வாய்ப்பை அறிந்தால் போராட்டம் தெரியும். | |
It does not commence there. | தெரிவது அறிவதிலாரம்பிக்கவில்லை. | |
Life appears. | வாழ்வு வெளிப்படுகிறது. | |
It begins with this. | பிணக்கை வாழ்வு வெளிவந்தவுடன் நாம் காண்கிறோம். | |
Life struggles to establish its activities. | வாழ்வு தன் செயல்களை ஸ்தாபிக்கப் போராடுகிறது. | |
There are forces of inertia. | தாமஸ சக்திகளுண்டு. | |
Life tries to establish its permanent aggregations of living form. | நிலையான ஜீவனுள்ள ரூபங்களைச் சேர்த்து ஸ்தாபிக்க வாழ்வு போராடுகிறது. | |
It does against the force of inconscience. | ஜீவியமற்ற சக்திகளை எதிர்த்து வாழ்வு முனைகிறது. | |
Against the force of atomic disaggregation. | அணுவைச் சிதைக்கும் சக்திகளை எதிர்த்தும் செயல்படுகிறது. | |
They are in the material principle. | அவை ஜட தத்துவத்திலுள்ளன. | |
They are the knot of the great Denial. | பெரு மறுப்பின் முடிச்சு அவை. | |
Life is at constant war with Matter. | வாழ்வு ஜடத்துடன் இடைவிடாமல் போராடுகிறது. | |
The battle seems to end. | போராட்டம் முடிவதாகத் தெரிகிறது. | |
It ends in the apparent defeat of Life. | முடிவில் வாழ்வு தோற்பது போல் தெரிகிறது. | |
It collapses downward. | தோற்றுக் கீழே விழுகிறது. | |
It falls on the material principle. | தோற்று ஜடத்தில் முடிகிறது. | |
We call the material principle death. | ஜடத்தை நாம் மரணம் என்கிறோம். | |
Mind appears. | மனம் வருகிறது. | |
The discord deepens. | பிணக்கு வளர்கிறது. | |
Mind has its limitations. | மனத்திற்கு வரையறையுண்டு. | |
Mind has its own quarrels. | மனமும் போராட்டத்திலுள்ளது. | |
It quarrels with Life and Matter. | மனம் வாழ்வு ஜடத்துடன் போராடுகிறது. | |
Mind is in constant subjection to inertia. | தமஸூக்கு உட்பட்டுள்ளது. | |
Mind revolts against Matter. | மனம் ஜடத்தை எதிர்த்துப் புரட்சி செய்கிறது. | |
It revolts against the passions and sufferings of the other. | ஜடத்தின் வேதனை, பாசத்தை எதிர்த்துப் புரட்சி செய்கிறது. | |
The battle turns eventually towards the vital. | வாழ்வை எதிர்த்து மனம் போராடுகிறது. | |
It is not very sure. | போராட்டம் இப்படித் திரும்புவது நிலையில்லை. | |
It is towards a partial and costly victory for the Mind. | பகுதியான வெற்றியை சிரமப்பட்டு மனம் பெறுகிறது. | |
Mind slays the vital cravings. | உயிரின் ஆசைகளை மனம் அழிக்கிறது. | |
It impairs the physical forces. | ஜட சக்திகளை அது சிதைக்கிறது. | |
Mind disturbs the balance of the body. | உடலின் நிதானத்தை மனம் கலைக்கிறது. | |
It does so in the interests of mental activity. | மனம் செயல்பட வேண்டி இதைச் செய்கிறது. | |
It does so in the interests of a higher moral being. | பெரிய தர்மத்திற்காக மனம் இதைச் செய்கிறது. | |
The impatience of Life, the disgust of the body recoil. | வாழ்வின் அவசரமும், உடலின் வெறுப்பு பின்வாங்குகின்றன. | |
Pure mental and moral existence take their rise. | மனத்தின் தார்மீக வாழ்வு எழுகிறது. | |
Man awakens to an existence beyond Mind. | மனிதன் மனத்தைக் கடந்த வாழ்வை நாடுகிறான். | |
He carries it further. | அதை மேலும் தொடர்கிறான். | |
It is beyond this discord. | அது இப்பிணக்கைக் கடந்து செல்கிறது. | |
Mind, Body, Life are condemned. | மனம், உடல், உயிரை வெறுக்கிறார்கள். | |
They are called the trinity of the world. | உலகின் திருமூர்த்திகளென அவை அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன. | |
They are called flesh and devil. | அவற்றைப் பேயெனும் உடலென்கின்றனர். | |
Mind too is banned. | மனமும் தடை விதிக்கப்படுகிறது. | |
It is called the source of the malady. | மனம் நோயின் மூலமாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது. | |
War is declared between the Spirit and its instruments. | ஆத்மாவும் அதன் கருவிகளும் போரில் இறங்குகின்றன. | |
The victory of the spiritual inhabitant is sought. | உள்ளுறை ஆத்மாவின் வெற்றியை நாடுகிறார்கள். | |
It is sought in an evasion. | வெற்றியை நாட விஷயத்தை விலக்குகின்றனர். | |
Evasion is from a narrow residence. | வாழ்வின் குறுகிய உலகை விலக்குகின்றனர். | |
It is sought in the rejection of mind. | மனத்தை விலக்கி வெற்றியை நாடுகிறார்கள். | |
Life and body are evaded. | உடலையும் உயிரையும் ஒதுக்குகிறார்கள். | |
They withdraw into their own infinitude. | அவற்றின் அனந்தத்தில் தஞ்சம் புகுகின்றனர். | |
The world is a discord. | உலகம் பிணக்காலானது. | |
We shall solve its perplexities. | அதன் சிக்கல்களை நாம் அவிழ்க்கலாம். | |
It is done by increasing the discords. | பிணக்கை முழுமைப்படுத்தித் தீர்க்கலாம். | |
It is a cutting away and final severance. | வெட்டி விலக்கும் முறையிது. | |
These defects and victories are only apparent. Page 233 Para 4 | இந்த வெற்றி தோல்விகள் எல்லாம் தோற்றமே. | |
This solution is not a solution. | இந்தத் தீர்வு, தீர்வாகாது. | |
It is an escape from the problem. | பிரச்சினையைத் தவிர்க்கும் வழியிது. | |
Life is not really defeated by Matter. | ஜடம் வாழ்வைத் தோற்கடிக்கவில்லை. | |
It makes a compromise. | ஒரு மாதிரி விட்டுக் கொடுக்கிறது. | |
It uses death for the continuance of life. | வாழ்வு நீடிக்க மரணத்தைப் பயன்படுத்துகிறது. | |
Mind is not really victorious over Life and Matter. | மனம் வாழ்வையும் ஜடத்தையும் வெல்லவில்லை. | |
It has achieved only an imperfect development. | அரைகுறையான முன்னேற்றத்தை மட்டுமே கண்டது. | |
It is of some of its potentialities. | உள்ள சில வாய்ப்புகளில் பெற்ற முன்னேற்றமது. | |
At the cost of others. | மற்றதை இழந்து பெற்ற முன்னேற்றமிது. | |
They are bound up with the unrealised or rejected possibilities. | அவை இதுவரை பயன்படாதவை அல்லது மறுக்கப்பட்டவை. | |
They are possibilities of its better use of life and body. | வாழ்வையும் உடலையும் அதிகமாக நல்ல முறையில் பயன்படுத்தும் வாய்ப்புகள் அவை. | |
There is the lower triplicity. | மனம், உயிர், உடல் உண்டு. | |
The individual soul has not conquered it. | ஜீவாத்மா அவற்றை வெல்லவில்லை. | |
Only rejected their claim upon it. | அவற்றின் உரிமையை மறுத்தது. | |
It is a claim of work. | அது செயல்படும் உரிமை. | |
The Spirit has undertaken it. | ஆத்மா மேற்கொண்ட கடமை அது. | |
It did so when it first cast itself into form of universe. | உலகம் என்ற ரூபத்தை மேற்கொண்ட பொழுது ஏற்பட்ட உரிமை. | |
The labour of the Divine continues. | இறைவனின் பணி தொடர்கிறது. | |
It is in the universe. | இறைவனுக்கு உலகில் பணி அமைந்துள்ளது. | |
Therefore the problem continues. | எனவே பிரச்சினை தொடர்கிறது. | |
It is without any satisfying solution of the problem. | பிரச்சினைக்குத் திருப்தியான தீர்வு எழவில்லை. | |
Nor any victorious accomplishment of the Labour. | செய்த வேலைக்கு எந்த வெற்றிகரமான முடிவும் வரவில்லை. | |
Therefore we must seek a solution. | எனவே நாம் ஒரு தீர்வு காண வேண்டும். | |
We have a stand point. | நமக்குள்ள ஆதாரமுண்டு. | |
It is about Sachchidananda. | அது சச்சிதானந்தத்தைப் பற்றியது. | |
It is the beginning, middle and end. | அதுவே ஆரம்பமும், மையமும், முடிவுமாகும். | |
The struggle and discord cannot be eternal. | எனவே போராட்டமும் பிணக்கும் நிரந்தரமானதல்ல. | |
They are not the fundamental principles in His Being. | சச்சிதானந்த ஜீவனுக்கு அவை அடிப்படையானவையல்ல. | |
Their very existence implies something. | போராட்டம் முடிவைச் சுட்டிக் காட்டுகின்றது. | |
They imply a perfect solution and complete victory. | முழுமையான வெற்றியையும் சிறப்பான தீர்வையும் அவை குறிக்கின்றன. | |
We must seek a solution in a real victory. | உண்மையான வெற்றியே தீர்வு. நாம் அதை நாட வேண்டும். | |
It is a victory of Life over Matter. | வாழ்வு ஜடத்தை வெல்வது அவ்வெற்றி. | |
It must be a perfect use. | சரியான பயன் அவ்வெற்றி. | |
It is a use of life-force and form by Mind. | மனம் வாழ்வின் சக்தியைப் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும். | |
There is a real victory of Spirit over the triplicity. | மனம், உயிர், உடலை ஆத்மா வெல்வதே அவ்வெற்றி. | |
It must be a free and perfect operation of mind, life and body. | மனம், உடல், உயிர் சுதந்திரமாகச் சிறப்பாக வேலை செய்ய வேண்டும். | |
The victory is by a conscious Spirit. | விழிப்புற்ற ஆத்மா பெறும் வெற்றியது. | |
We have worked out a view. | நாம் ஒரு முடிவை எடுத்துள்ளோம். | |
In it this is the last conquest. | அம்முடிவில் முடிவான வெற்றியிது. | |
This alone can make that victory possible. | இந்த முடிவே அந்த வெற்றியைத் தரும். | |
We must see how this conquest can be possible. | இந்த வெற்றி எழும் வழியைக் காண வேண்டும். | |
Is this possible at all or wholly possible? | இது முடியுமா, முழுமையாக முடியுமா? | |
We must find out the reality of Matter. | ஜடத்தின் உண்மையைக் கண்டறிய வேண்டும். | |
We must do so as we seek fundamental knowledge. | அடிப்படை ஞானம் தேடுவது போல் தேட வேண்டும். | |
Earlier we found out about Mind, Soul & Life. | ஆத்மா, மனம், வாழ்வை அறிந்தது போல் ஜடத்தை அறிய வேண்டும். | |
